UPDATE: Brunswick County man dies at hospital after Friday evening shooting
BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) – The Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting that occurred Friday night in the area of Carlon Rd. NW and George Daniels Rd. NW in Longwood. The BCSO says the shooting happened around 6:30 in the evening.
The victim was 30-year-old Anthony Scott Beers. He was transported to Grand Strand Regional Medical Center where he succumbed to his injury earlier Sunday morning.
This is an ongoing homicide investigation. The Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office is offering a $1000 reward for any information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person/persons responsible for the shooting of Anthony Scott Beers.

They say it happened in the area of Carlon Road NW and George Daniels Road NW in Longwood at approximately 6:30 p.m.
The 30-year-old male victim was transported to Grand Strand Regional Medical Center in Myrtle Beach.
Detectives believe this was an isolated incident and there is no danger to the public.
