UPDATE: Home destroyed, 2 others damaged in Holden Beach fire
HOLDEN BEACH, NC (WWAY) — A fire destroyed a house at Holden Beach Friday night and damaged two others.
The Tri-Beach Volunteer Fire Department responded to a fire at 1079 Ocean Blvd. West at about 8:45 p.m. They found a two-story house engulfed in flames. They battled the fire with help from several other agencies, but the home was destroyed. The fire also damaged the homes on either side.
Investigators say all of the homes were unoccupied when the fire broke out. They estimate the damage to all three houses at more than $325,000.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
