UPDATE: Meeting focuses on public park for northern riverfront

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — There was a presentation for the North Riverfront Public Park to find out what the public thinks about it Monday evening.

The park is 6.63 acres big and is along the northern Downtown Waterfront. City officials said the top three most wanted things are green space, shade and performance space. The city said those qualities will all be in the park’s site plan.

The next step for that plan is finding grant money to help develop the park and start on creating the park design.
