UPDATE: Police say man robbed GameStop at knifepoint
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY)– Police are still searching for a suspect they say robbed a Wilmington GameStop with a knife, getting away with a gaming system Saturday.
Wilmington Police say it happened just after 5 p.m. at the 5225 Sigmon Road location. That’s where officers say an unknown man walked into the store, took a gaming system and ran out of the business.
Police say while the man was running, and as an employee began to approach him, he reached into his pocket and said he had a knife. The suspect, who is described as a man around 6′ tall, was wearing a bright yellow or green hooded sweatshirt at the time of the crime.
Officers say the suspect was spotted heading towards Market Street on the bicycle. WPD is still investigating.
