UPDATE: Power is back on in Brunswick, Columbus County

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — Power is back on for residents in Brunswick and Columbus County.

A Brunswick Electric spokeswoman said hundreds of people were without power Monday night after a software issue.

The spokeswoman said Brunswick Electric’s outage map online that still shows outages is inaccurate.

Brunswick Electric said software issues was the cause of the outages. They said they plan to meet tomorrow and dissect the problem so that it doesn’t happen again.
