UPDATE: Road open after crash with tractor-trailer

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Police reopened South front Street from Greenfield Avenue to Carolina Beach road after an accident.

Three people were taken to the hospital after a crash near the intersection of S. Front St. and Burnett Blvd., according to two other people involved in the incident.

The crash involves a tractor-trailer and three passenger vehicles.

There’s no word yet on the extent of the injuries of the people involved.
