Validated gang member charged in Bladen Street shooting


WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Wilmington Police have linked two shootings that happened on Sunday night. Now, one of the two men who were shot faces charges.

Police say validated gang member Anthony Tindall shot Andrew Lige in the leg after an attempted armed robbery at Lige’s home on Bladen Street.

Police say the attempted robbery led to a confrontation. As a result of the struggle, both men were shot.

Tindall was shot in his hip. Police say he then left Lige’s home and went to the 400 block of Bess Street, where he provided officers with false information about how his shooting happened.

Tindall is facing charges of Armed Robbery, First Degree Kidnapping, Firearm by Felon and Assault With a Deadly Weapon with Intent to Kill Inflicting Serious Injuries.

His bond was set at $500,000.
