Veterans Memorial Park construction underway

COLUMBUS COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — Construction for the Columbus County Veterans Memorial Park is underway.

According to the park’s Facebook page, a fountain has been added and the grounds are being maintained. Construction began after a groundbreaking ceremony in January.

Together…the community raised the money needed to purchase fifteen acres of land for the park.
