Victim drives self to hospital after being shot in Wilmington

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Wilmington Police responded to the 190 block of Spring Avenue around 2:20 p.m. after receiving a ShotSpotter notification for several rounds fired.

The victim transported himself to New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

The investigation is ongoing.
