Victims airlifted from Brunswick County car accident

A major car wreck in Brunswick County on Wednesday sent drivers to the hospital.

Authorities say it happened around 3:00 p.m. Preliminary reports say a car collided with a tractor trailer on River Road and Hwy 87 near Southport.

Some of the victims had to be airlifted from the scene; there is no word yet on their condition.
