Volunteers from Mississippi finishing up good deeds

It has been a busy week for a group from Biloxi Mississippi.

Ten volunteers were lending a hand in Wilmington this week.

They say they were simply returning a favor.

People from Wilmington traveled to Biloxi after Hurricane Katrina.

Now, these Biloxi residents are wrapping up a five day trip to our area.

They helped rebuild two homes — one off Carolina Beach Road belongs to an elderly woman. They repainted, and weather-sealed her home.

Volunteer Ray Marshall said, “You talk about things being indescribable, you just swell up with pride, and what I was noticing is what little effort it takes on my part to get such good work done for people.”

The volunteers say they had a great time in Wilmington. The group is heading back to Mississippi tomorrow.
