Voters shut down sales tax in Bladen County


BLADEN COUNTY, NC (WWAY) – For the fifth time since 2010 and the second time this year, voters in Bladen County were asked to support a quarter-penny sales tax hike.

Bladen County voted against the local sales tax by a landslide with 72% of people voting no.

With all precincts reporting, 10,806 people voted no and 4,235 voted for the tax.
