Warren won’t talk about EEOC claim; discrimination law excludes elected officials

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — No comment today from Brunswick County Commissioner Charles Warren after he filed a discrimination claim against the county for “race” and “retaliation.”

Warren filed the complaint with the US Equal Employment Opportunity Commission Monday. The county received a copy yesterday.

There may be a problem with his complaint. The EEOC tells us federal law specifically excludes elected officials from filing such claims.

WWAY tried to speak with warren today during a breakfast meeting in bolivia, but he refused to talk and walked away.
