Water shut down for some local residents Tuesday

Tomorrow, the Cape Fear Public Utility Authority will shut down water for all residents west of 1-40, to include Shearin Hills subdivisions and Blossom Ferry Road.

Water will not be available between 10:00 p.m. and 4:00 a.m. Contractors are shutting it off to perform required maintenance on the pipes.

When water service resumes, customers in the affected area could experience some water discoloration. Flushing your pipes for five to ten minutes is recommended if that happens.
