Wave offers free public transportation

Riding public transportation paid off Saturday. Wave Transit sponsored their Third Annual Free Fare Alternative Transportation Day.

The public was encouraged to ride the Wave for free while experiencing what public transportation has to offer, which riders seemed to appreciate.

“I was thinking I was going to spend $1.50 and then it was free, so I have a little extra money in my pocket it’s nice,” said Natasha Coffey.

The Wave also provided free transportation to and from the Wilmington Sharks game from Independence Mall to Legion Stadium.
