WCA locked down briefly

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Reported gun shots put an area school on lockdown this afternoon for about 30 minutes.

New Hanover County 911 got a call reporting gunshots across the street from Wilmington Christian Academy on North College Road a little before 1:30 p.m. The school went on administrative lockdown until about 2 p.m. as a precaution.

Deputies found no evidence of criminal activity and the lockdown was lifted.
