Weekend checkpoint nets 4 arrests, more than 100 citations

DELCO, NC (WWAY) — A DWI checkpoint on Highway 74/76 at the Columbus and Brunswick county line resulted in four arrests and more than 100 citations.

About 70 law enforcement officers from law enforcement agencies across the area took part in Saturday night’s operation.

They wrote 103 traffic and criminal violations.

Two people were arrested for DWI. James Randall Jordan and Veronica George of Wilmington were arrested on drug charges.
