WFD dive team helps WPD search

Some members of the Wilmington Fire Department went for a swim today to help their friends in blue. Wilmington Police asked the divers to search a retention pond for evidence in an investigation.

Police won’t say what they’re looking for and asked us not to say where the search was. They did say that these type of searches often turn up all sorts of stolen and missing items.

The fire department says the dive team often helps law enforcement like this.
