WHAT’S HAPPENING: October 24th – 26th
CAPE FEAR, N.C. (WWAY) — From cars and candy to festivals and farm fun, there’s no shortage of Halloween happenings across the Cape Fear this weekend.
A one-of-a-kind Trunk or Treat Car Show is rolling into the Battleship North Carolina parking lot. Participants will deck out their trunks and truck beds in Halloween themes while visitors enjoy food trucks, music, and fun for the whole family.
New Hanover Fire & Rescue and the New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office will also be on site, along with local vendors and businesses.
Get ready to dance the night away at Belville’s Trunk or Treat Monster Mash on Friday, Oct. 24, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Belville Riverwalk Park.
The family-friendly event will feature free candy, food trucks, fall treats, and music from DJ Beetlejuice. There is also a costume contest with a prize for the best-decorated trunk.
The Town of Leland is debuting a brand-new tradition — the Leland Fall Festival — replacing its longtime Trunk or Treat. Families can enjoy trick-or-treating, games, pumpkin painting, face painting, and more on Saturday, Oct. 25, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Northwest District Park, 1937 Andrew Jackson Highway.
Seafood lovers can head to Wrightsville Beach Brewery for Oysterberfest on Sunday, Oct. 26, from noon to 6 p.m. Guests can enjoy live music from Back Pocket Buddha and Birdwell Beat, along with steamed and raw oysters at the best prices of the year. Entry is free, with food and drink vouchers available for purchase.
