Whiteville City Schools dismissing early after water line break

WHITEVILLE, NC (WWAY) — The school day will be extra short today for Whiteville City Schools after a late start and an early dismissal for students.

The school district started the day on a two-hour delay because of the extreme cold this morning. Now the schools have to dismiss early because of a water line break in Whiteville.

According to the school district, schools will dismiss today on the following schedule:

-Whiteville Primary School and Whiteville High School at 11:15 a.m.
-Central Middle School, Edgewood Elementary School and North Whiteville Academy at 11:30 a.m.
