Whiteville man arrested in connection to shooting

WHITEVILLE, NC (WWAY) — A Whiteville man is behind bars this morning in connection with an October shooting.

Last month Whiteville Police issued a warrant for Carl Mason, Jr., 21, for assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury.

Mason is charged with failure to appear on misdemeanor, assault with a deadly weapon, discharge of a weapon into occupied property, along with other charges.

He is being held in the Columbus County Detention Center on a $100,000 secured bond.
