Whiteville man convicted of child porn charges

WHITEVILLE — A Whiteville man will spend the next 180 months in jail after being convicted on child porn charges.

Philip Perry admitted to investigators that he downloaded child porn from the internet, and that he had victimized children of family friends, children who attended his church and children at Anchorage Camp in Lake Waccamaw.

Perry pleaded guilty in Columbus County to four counts of taking indecent liberties with minors as a result of those molestations.
