Will the lasting heat mar 2019’s fall leaf color?
ASHEVILLE, NC (WLOS) — It’s officially fall, but it sure still feels like summer.
The lasting heat is having an effect on the leaf color season.
While some trees have started dropping leaves recently, an Appalachian State University professor says most seem to be holding on.
He says the cool mornings we had before the recent drought conditions helped keep things on schedule.
The professor hopes the cool front expected this weekend helps stimulate color change.
