WILMINGTON, NC (StarNews) — Starting soon, anyone who wants to go to a Wilmington City Council meeting will have to pass through a metal detector.
Mayor Bill Saffo said council members have inquired about added security at city hall for some time.
“Our intention is – we don’t want anybody to come in a city council meeting with a gun,” the mayor said.
