Wilmington Chamber of Commerce announces new CEO


WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The Wilmington Chamber of Commerce announced its new leader Monday morning.

Natalie English comes from Charlotte.

“This community has so much potential and is already so vibrant,” English said Monday. “I couldn’t imagine a better place to spend the next part of my life.”

A graduate of North Carolina State University, she currently serves as the Charlotte Chamber’s Chief Public Policy Officer.

She is also one of just 700 people in the world who is a Certified Chamber Executive.

“Her leadership experience and background in affecting policies that impact the coast and ease of doing business, quality of life and workforce will help take the Wilmington business community and our Chamber to new heights,” Commerce Board Chairman Charlie Mattox said.

English officially takes over the Chamber March 6, 2017.

She replaces Interim President Dick Blouse.
