Wilmington, Chapel Hill firms in line for multimillion-dollar government contract
RALEIGH, NC (TRIANGLE BUSINESS JOURNAL) — The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services through its National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases division has awarded contracts to five companies across the country to form a clinical studies network — and two of them are in our state — Rho Federal Systems in Chapel Hill and PPD Inc. in Wilmington.
According to DHHS officials, each contract has a minimum guarantee of $400,000 for a period of two years that can be extended for five years. But the contract amount? It will be capped at $100 million.
