Wilmington Choral Society celebrates 65 years


WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) —  The Wilmington Choral Society celebrated its 65th anniversary today by presenting a free concert.

The concert was held in CFCC’s new Humanities and Fine Arts Center in downtown Wilmington. Participants got the opportunity to enjoy the musical performances of Tony Award-winning composer Stephen Sondheim. Sondheim is an American composer and lyricist best known for his contributions to musical theatre.

A raffle was also held to raise money for Mother Hubbard’s Cupboard, a food pantry in Wilmington.
