Wilmington City Council approves repairs for Convention Center
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The Wilmington City Council approved spending another $50,000 on the Convention Center.
They will spend the room Occupancy Tax money on emergency HVAC repairs after a duct on the roof buckled and opened a hole. The money would be for long-term repairs.
Crews have patched the hole to limit heating and air conditioning from getting out.
The convention center opened in the fall of 2010.
