Wilmington Fire Department holds a home escape plan challenge

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Do you have a home escape plan for your family?

Families can enter the Wilmington Fire Department’s competition to prove their fire-safety skills.

Participants can submit a photo, video, or PDF of their family’s plan.

The winning family will receive a private fire station tour.

The winning family’s child will also receive a special lunch with firefighters and a truck display for their class or homeschool group.

Entries can be submitted to the WFD’s online Google form through Tuesday, September 30.

Winners will be announced on Friday, October 10.
