Wilmington Fire Department responds to house fire Sunday

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Wilmington Fire Crews responded to a house fire Sunday afternoon.

Flames and smoke were coming from the second story at 218 Cabbage Inlet Lane at about 1:15 p.m. Although there were people home at the time of the fire, they were able to escape with no injuries.

A spokesman said the cause of the fire has been determined to be accidental and electrical in nature. The estimated structural and content damages are $150,000.
