Wilmington firefighters respond to small island blaze

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Wilmington Fire investigated a small grass fire on an island near Kinder Morgan on North 6th Street Thursday afternoon.

WFD says due to access issues the fire will be allowed to burn itself out.

Crews say there is no threat to the area, however smoke may be seen throughout the afternoon.
