Wilmington immigration attorney discusses new immigration policy
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Wednesday afternoon, President Donald Trump abruptly changed his mind on his administration’s policy of separating children from their families at the U.S. border. He signed an executive order ending the process after intense criticism from both Democrats and Republicans.
Trump says his order does not end his zero tolerance policy on illegal immigration, but aims to keep families together while in custody.
Local immigration lawyer Jeffrey Widdison from McKinney Immigration Law stopped by WWAY to answer questions about immigration policy and what you can do to help.
