Wilmington man accused of sending sexual letters to a child

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A Wilmington man is in jail charged with indecent liberties with a minor.

Police say they arrested Edward Southerland, 69, after a parent called and reported Southerland had sent letters to their female child that were sexual in nature.

Southerland is in jail under a $25,000 bond.
