Wilmington man charged in Dawson St. stabbing

Wilmington, NC (WWAY)– A Wilmington man faces charges after a stabbing on Dawson Street Tuesday night.

Wilmington Police arrested Michael Hasty, 45, after a 65-year-old Wilmington man was found stabbed in the 500 block of Dawson Street.

It happened around 8:00 p.m. When officers arrived, they found the victim with non-life threatening stab wounds.

He was transferred to New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

Officers arrested Hasty at the scene.

He received a $100,000 secured bond.

He is  being charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, inflict serious injury.
