Wilmington man dies days after wife found dead in suspected murder-suicide attempt

NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — A Wilmington man has died eight days after deputies responded to a home in the 7800 block of Sanderling Place, investigating a possible murder-suicide.

Jack Mitchell Anderson, 87, died Wednesday, days after his wife was found dead at their New Hanover County home. Deputies found Linda Bullington Anderson dead inside the home from a gunshot wound.

They found Jack Anderson in the backyard with a gunshot wound, where he was then transported to New Hanover Regional Medical Center in critical condition.
