Wilmington man facing more child sex assault charges

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The man accused of sexually assaulting a child faces even more charges.

Franklin Kersell Evans, 28, was originally arrested May 14 and charged with rape of a child and crimes against nature.

Evans was charged yesterday with crimes against nature and rape of a child.

Wilmington Police say the case was a referral from the Department of Social Services.

He is in jail under a $250,000 bond.
