Wilmington man sentenced for second degree rape, child sex crimes


WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) – A Wilmington man will spend at least 6  years in prison after pleading guilty to second degree rape and indecent liberties with a child.

Nestor Alonso De Los Santos-Hernandez, 23, was dating an adult family member of the victim. When that relationship ended he pursued the victim, a teenager.

Wilmington police investigated and charged De Los Santos-Hernandez in May for an incident that happened in March.

De Los Santos-Hernandez must also register as a sex offender for life and will also have lifetime satellite based monitoring.
