WPD asking for help finding teen last seen Wednesday night

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Wilmington Police are asking the public’s help finding a teen last seen Wednesday night.

Shamyia Brownson, 17, was last seen at the Hardees at 1970 S. 17^th St. around 8 p.m. Wednesday.

Shamyia is a black female, about 5’8″ and 160 pounds. She has short, curly black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a black and white pinstripe shirt with purple flowers, a purple jacket, dark blue jeans and black Timberland boots.

Detectives are asking anyone with information on where Shamyia may be to call the Wilmington Police Department at (910) 343-3609 or Text-A-Tip by texting “CRIMES” and starting the text with “Tip708.” All texts to Text-A-Tip are anonymous.
