Wilmington Police investigating armed robbery


WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Police are investigated after an armed robbery at a Subway restaurant in Wilmington.

Officials say around 8:40 p.m. Wednesday, a man walked into the Subway at 4414 Market Street in Wilmington. He got a drink out of the display case and as the clerk asked him to pay, the man pulled out a ski mask, put it over his face and pulled out a gun. He demanded money and the clerk gave it to him.

The suspect left on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Officials say the suspect is described as a light-skinned black man with a mustache, chin hair and a soul patch. He was wearing a black hoodie and sweatpants and is approximately 5’6″ to 5’8″ tall.
