Wilmington police make arrest in delivery driver robbery
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) – Wilmington police have arrested a woman accused of armed robbery and passing counterfeit cash.
Police have charged Tashiana Janee Jackson, 23, with Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon and Obtaining Property by False Pretense.
Police say Jackson passed fake money to a Chopstix delivery driver in the late evening hours of November 1, after she placed an order for food to be delivered to Campus Evolution Villages apartments. Jackson received the change from the fake money and food from the driver during that incident.
Then on November 15, Jackson allegedly robbed the same delivery driver at gun point after ordering food to be delivered to the 4900-block of Clemson Dr.
Police say Jackson approached the delivery driver outside with a handgun and demanded food and money. She then ordered the victim the ground and searched his vehicle for cash before running off.
