Wilmington Police arrest woman for stabbing Saturday

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Wilmington police arrested a woman late Saturday night in connection to a stabbing on Orange Street.

A police spokeswoman said it happened  at 1 Orange St just after 10:30 p.m. She said police were called when a woman arrived at the NHRMC ER with a major laceration to her head from a knife wound.

The suspect was identified as Tenishia Latrice Johnson. The spokeswoman said a crime scene was discovered by downtown officers and CSI processed both the victim and the scene.

Several hours later Johnson was arrested and booked under a $25,000 bond.
