Wilmington police investigating 3 shootings

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Wilmington Police are looking into three shootings that happened in less than 12 hours.

Police said the first shooting happened around 8:40 p.m. last night in the 1100-block of S. 7th Street. No damage or injuries were reported, but officers did find shell casings on scene.

The second shooting also happened last night around 11:15 p.m. in the 100 block of N. 31st Street. Police said a home was hit by gunfire, shattering the front glass door and hitting other parts of the house. No one inside the home was hurt, police said.

Investigators said the final shooting happened just before 4:30 a.m. in the 400-block of S. 10th Street. No property damage or injuries were reported, but shell casings were found on scene.
