Wilmington Police investigating early morning home invasion

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Investigators with the Wilmington Police Department are looking for two armed robbers.

Police said a man was sleeping on a couch in a home in the 4900 block of Wrightsville Avenue yesterday morning around 8:30 a.m. when two men kicked in the front door and dragged him to his room to get cash. Police said the men then got in a white Lexus and drove off after the robbery.

The victim described the suspects as a heavy-set black male wearing a red hooded sweatshirt and a slim white male wearing a black hooded sweatshirt.
