Wilmington Police investigating Friday afternoon shooting

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Wilmington Police are investigating after a shooting in the Love Grove Community Friday afternoon.

Wilmington Police Department spokeswoman Cathryn Lindsay said it happened around 4:20 p.m. in the 1500 block of Railroad Street.

Lindsay said a man was shot in the leg and taken to the hospital by EMS with non-life-threatening injuries.

She said police have no suspect information at this time.
