Wilmington Police: Man arrested on stolen vehicle charge

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Officers have arrested a man for driving a stolen vehicle, according to the Wilmington Police Department.
WPD units attempted to serve a warrant in reference to a stolen vehicle around 11:10 p.m. Thursday.
Police say the suspect, 42-year-old Kinwan Long, removed his ankle monitor and ran off in the 600 block of Anderson Street. K9 units responded, conducted a short track, and found Long, police say.
The stolen vehicle was reportedly recovered in the 700 block of Hanover Street.
Long was charged with Possession of a Stolen Motor Vehicle, Interfere with Electronic Monitoring Device, and RDO.
He is currently being held under a $25,000 secure bond.
