Shots fired in Wilmington neighborhood late Sunday night

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Police are trying to determine who fired a weapon in a Wilmington neighborhood Sunday evening.

Someone reported hearing shots fired along North 31st Street around 7 p.m.

When WWAY arrived at the scene, we saw a number of police cars along North 31st Street from Montgomery Street to Princess Place Drive.

Cpl. C. L. Williamson with the WPD’s Community Engagement Unit was unable to provide any further details Sunday night.
