Wilmington police searching for ‘armed and dangerous’ kidnapping suspect


WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) –  Wilmington Police have identified the man accused of kidnapping and assaulting two college students on November 22 at Cape Cottages on Litchfield Way.

Detectives have arrest warrants for validated gang member Titus Nafis Lee, 19, of Litchfield Way.

He will be charged with two counts of each First Degree Kidnapping and First Degree Rape. Lee is also charged with First Degree Burglary and Armed Robbery.

Police say Lee entered the students’ apartment armed with a gun and violently assaulted them. He then forced the man and woman into their vehicle and made them drive around. A little while later the man ordered them to pick up Treddia Sullivan, 27, on Market Street. The victims were forced to withdraw cash from an ATM and then returned home. Police say the female victim was sexually assaulted. Police say Lee robbed the apartment and then left.

Wilmington Police Department is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to Lee’s arrest.

Lee is a black male, about 6’1″ with a thin build.

He was last known to have a goatee and shoulder-length dreadlocks. He has a tattoo of skull and dice on his outside left forearm and a tattoo of “Tiki” on his neck. He currently has stitches in his right index finger.

Police say Lee should be considered armed and dangerous.  Lee has previous charges from Assault with a Deadly Weapon and Discharging a Firearm into an Occupied Dwelling.

Sullivan also faces charges. She is in jail under a $300,000 bond.
