Wilmington man in serious condition following late night shooting

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A Wilmington man is in serious condition after a late night shooting on Walnut Street.

Wilmington Police say officers responded to 821 Walnut Street shortly before 10 p.m. and found 33-year-old Kareem Thomas outside the home with a gunshot wound.

Police say there were also several men with Thomas asking for help.

Thomas was transported to New Hanover Regional Medical Center where he under-went emergency surgery.

No arrests have been made.
