Wilmington woman accused of stabbing man with hedge clippers

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) —  Wilmington Police found a man stabbed Monday night when they responded to a call about a naked woman sitting in the street.

Police arrested Janet Barnett, 35, and charged her with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill for stabbing a man with hedge clippers.

Police say it happened in the 900 block of South 4th St. at around 10:30 p.m.

The victim had minor injured and was treated at the scene.

Barnett, of Wilmington, was arrested and transported to New Hanover Regional Medical Center for evaluation.

Barnett is under a $50,000 bond.
