Wilmington business busted for counterfeit items

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Deputies say a Wilmington clothing store is selling counterfeit merchandise.

After a six-week investigation, New Hanover County Sheriff’s detectives say they seized more than $10,000 worth of counterfeit items from Big Town Fashions and Accessories on Greenfield Street. Investigators say if you think you may have purchased knock-off items from the store, call police.

The owners of Big Town Fashions could be charged with misdemeanors or felonies depending on the amount of counterfeit merchandise collected.
